Irritum was created for release in February 2018 as GRIDFAILURE marks its two-year anniversary.

A purely savage dose of GRIDFAILURE’s effects-soaked powerdementia, Irritum manifests dispirited tones and unwelcoming surroundings in the vein of the act’s 2016 debut, Ensuring The Bloodline Ends Here. Utilizing an arsenal of instrumentation through a variety of experimental procedures, through swells of vicious enormity and unnerving creepout aura, Irritum’s scathing noise-driven dirges, maniac vocal wrath, and off-kilter rhythms culminate and deliver an inescapable sense of dread and paranoia through thirteen new tracks, totaling more than fifty minutes of demoralization.

All music, lyrics, and artwork/design created by David Brenner at The Compound, Valley Cottage, New York. Included in the experiments were Electric and Acoustic Guitars, Electric Bass, Violin, Electronic Drums, Live Drums, Analog Drum Machine, Xylophone, Theremin, Keyboards, Analog Synth, Harmonica, Didgeridoo, Electronics, Effects, Field Recordings, and more.

Most of the album was created throughout 2017, yet recordings captured spanning Gridfailure’s two-years in existence thus far have made their way here. Spencer is captured in these recordings.
