Earsplit Distro is the exclusive North American outlet for Abominor, the 2nd LP from Danish metal troupe, RISING, released through guitarist Jacob Krogholt’s newly formed label, Indisciplinarian.

Abominor contains nearly forty minutes of new material, displaying a faster, more aggressive and gritty side to the RISING sound, incorporating more punk and crust influences, while remaining true to the melodic heaviness that has been a trademark of the band from the beginning. The album is produced by Jakob Reichert Nielsen, who also produced RISING’s self-titled debut-EP as well as their debut album, To Solemn Ash, and the artwork created by singer/bassist Henrik Hald.

However, Abominor is the last album from this incarnation of the band. The year leading up to the recording sessions showed severe disagreements creatively and personally within the ranks, and upon finishing the album drummer Johansen and singer/bassist Hald left the band. Abominor thereby signifies the end of an era for RISING. Main composer, guitarist and remaining member Jacob Krogholt has now teamed up with original drummer Martin Niemann, and the two core members will continue RISING with a new lineup. 180 gram black vinyl limited to three hundred copies.
